Representative Kathie Tovo, member of the Austin City Council representing District 9 in Texas, explains that the way a city and its neighborhoods are designed can not only enhance the experience of day-to-day life, but also relationships between people in these neighborhoods.

Representative Tovo further explains that connecting people to nature is especially important to the city of Austin’s Mueller development: “If we design spaces that are wonderful, it does make people healthier and happier.”
