Samhita M. is the director of the Ela Green School in Chennai, India. She started this school when she realized the necessity for children to learn about the holistic nature of sustainability, and how the planet, people, and profit are all interconnected within the sustainability sphere.

Samhita explains how the school uses LEED certification as a guide to help provide a better space for students. Efforts to incorporate LEED in every aspect of the school has resulted in inspiring collective action; students are taking what they are learning in school back home with them and facilitating further action in their communities.
