Mohawk Industries is a sustainable flooring company located in Dalton, Georgia. Their VP of Sustainability, George Bandy, Jr., emphasizes the importance in thinking about spaces that employees frequent, explaining that “If you have those things that you need to create meaningful work, to create a sustainable lifestyle, to create health and wellness and also to provide academic and emotional security…it gives you a great opportunity to do some amazing things.” Mohawk Industries creates a space for meaningful work through the creation of a WELL certified space, a LEED certified space and a Living Building certified space.
George further explains that in addition to aiding clients in their sustainable projects, Mohawk also aims to inspire clients to incorporate other aspects of sustainability into their home, whether it be changing LED light bulbs or faucet heads.
