Jerry Tinianow is the Chief Sustainability Officer for the City and County of Denver. He explains how he believes that “the concept of sustainability exists to foster the ability of people to be happy and healthy, and to achieve their full potential as human beings.”
Jerry expresses that the work, attention, and detail that go behind the LEED green building rating system to ensure that the value of a LEED certification never diminishes is an incredible feat by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). His experience with LEED through the years has led him to the conclusion that “the most important measure (in society) is human happiness.”
